Sectors

Who is &UP® Settlement intended for?

The Accounting module is the only module of the &UP® platform that is directed specifically to the finance department, rather than the operations department. The module is particularly well-suited to the following sectors:

Features

Key features of the module

Settlements with the client

Tools for senders enabling them to monitor payments for services ordered and access accounting records directly via the parcel portal. Particularly valuable for customers who send parcels frequently:

  • A wide range of online payment methods to choose from – in line with the logistics provider’s model
  • A full list of services ordered, showing the date, type, status and unit cost
  • VAT invoices and service statements generated automatically, available for download as PDF files
  • Settlement reports are available once you have logged in to the dispatch application

Settlements with the carrier

Detailed billing of external carriers based on actual field data. The calculation takes into account both base rates and adjustments resulting from the quality of service provision. The module allows for flexible configuration of billing models:

  • Number of joints made by the subcontractor
  • The number of services completed, based on data from the mobile app or the parcel tracking system
  • The distance travelled by the carrier (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Carrier’s working hours
  • Any combination of the above factors

Cash-on-delivery service

Support and automation of the process for settling payments received from recipients as part of the cash-on-delivery service. The module covers the entire financial cycle of a COD consignment – from collecting cash from the recipient to transferring the funds to the sender’s account:

  • Efficient accounting for funds received through the delivery process
  • A bank transfer to the sender’s specified account in accordance with the agreed procedure
  • Defining return policies
  • Defining the availability of the service for selected customer groups

Calculations based on actual operational data

The module utilises data from carriers’ mobile devices and the operating system, which eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces discrepancies between the actual course of operations and the accounts:

  • Data from the driver’s mobile app (number of delivery points, delivery confirmations, working hours)
  • GPS and parcel tracking data (route length, points served)
  • Data from the control centre (order status, changes to the schedule)
  • Integration with the quality control system (timeliness, delivery attempts)

Adjustments to settlements based on the quality of service provision

Flexible adjustment rules allow carriers to be billed not only for the quantity of work carried out, but also for its quality. The module automatically applies the defined adjustments:

  • Adjustments for late provision of services
  • Accounting for subsequent delivery attempts (notifications)
  • A decreasing rate for subsequent deliveries within the same zone
  • Taking into account the individual contract rates of each carrier

Accounting documents and online payments

Automatic generation of accounting documents based on services rendered, and integration with online payment providers operating within the European Union. The customer can access payment options directly from within the dispatch application, without having to switch to separate systems.

Integration with ERP and accounting systems

Two-way data exchange with the most popular ERP and financial accounting systems. Settlement data is fed directly into the client’s accounts, without the need for manual data entry between systems.

Cost reporting and analysis

A reporting dashboard providing real-time monitoring of the balance of payments for each customer and each carrier. Advanced analytics enable you to identify the most and least profitable customers, compare carriers’ performance and plan your operating budget.
